“Lisa Starr is a Spa Business Consultant who has more than 25 years experience in the beauty industry. She began as a makeup artist with her own line of cosmetics, which expanded into multiple salons and spas in the Philadelphia area. She moved into spa management in the early 1990’s, holding positions such as Merchandise Manager, Personnel Director, Sales & Marketing Manager, and General Manager of a regional chain of day spas.

Lisa is currently the principal East Coast business consultant to new and existing salons and spas for Preston Wynne Inc., a leading spa consulting company in the US. Her knowledge and experience spans a wide range of subjects, including marketing and advertising, business operations, inventory management, compensation and human resource development, sales and public relations. Consulting clients include day spa start-ups and turnarounds, hospitals expanding into day spa services, beauty salons adding spa services, medi-spas, hotel spas and fitness center spas, throughout the US and Southeast Asia, She also facilitates the Preston Wynne spa management courses numerous times per year on both the east and west coasts.

Lisa Starr is a frequent presenter at trade shows such as ISPA, IECSC Las Vegas, TSA, The Midwest Beauty Show, America’s Expo for Skin & Spa, IBS New York & Long Beach, America Spa Expo, Total Image, and the Spa & Resort Expo.
